Same Post I just really need help I have another post of this from pictures

Hello guys I made a post regarding this situation earlier, but nothing has really changed.
My 6 month old panther chameleon has his hemipenes sticking out, when i mist him with cool water they go back in. He is however spending a lot of time with them out. Anyone with this problem or has experienced this happening please offer any suggestions.
Thank you

As long as HE can pull them back in on his own, it may not be a problem. Do his hemipenes still look moist and normally colored? No swelling right? Does this happen after or during defecating? One possible idea is whether he might be a bit constipated or a bit dehydrated. Low level chronic dehydration leads to constipation as the whole gut process slows down trying to reclaim body moisture from gut contents. I know that it is more likely for a cham to prolapse if constipated as the gut contents are compacted, firmer, and the cham has to strain more to defecate. I wonder if giving him more soft bodied feeders might help ease things more? Just a thought.

I have read a lot of posts on here about panthers just showing their junk. If he is otherwise healthy, your husbandry is on point, and he isnt showing any other signs of illness, he might just be like, '' Bam! How ya like me now''.

:D

They are out most of the day and have a vet appointment tomorrow. I have kept them very moist and are still pink in color.

They are retracting or they do not retract are you keeping them moist did you try with ky jelly to massage them back in

I would take him to a vet. Even if he was flashing I don't think he'd leave them out as you describe. One side looks swollen. Maybe he has a low grade infection going on or possibly a sperm plug he can't expel that is irritating it?
