Possible Leg Deformation?

Hey Cham Owners,

I had a little scare today with my lil DaVinci. He was just walking along on his vine and then just seemed to slip off with both hind legs dangling and desperately trying to cling on to the vine again. He did recover in a relative good amount of time; just a few seconds of so but, it gave me quite a fright!

Well, his hind legs have looked the same like the picture attached ever since I've purchased him but, now that he just lost grip like that I am worried. He eats and drinks very well and hunts his free range crickets fine. I give him Raspershy every other weekend and just started to give him calcium every day at feeding. He otherwise seems to be a very happy, healthy chameleon; still, I am worried about the shape of his hind legs.

What do you guys think?

So you weren't giving him plain calcium every day before? He may have ended up with a slight Ca deficiency but now that you have corrected it he should be OK with better diet and correct lighting. Every cham loses its grip once in a while. He was able to recover OK, so I don't see a problem.

Thank you Carlton and yes I am going to start the Ca regime everyday now.

Dirty: Yes, his next stop will be the vet for his first examination. His appt. is in two weeks.
