Possibly burn mark?

Hey guys hope all is well! I got a question I think My Cham miss peaches has a burn on her butt, I think this had happened a few weeks ago when I was at work and when I came home her butt was directly under heat lamp, since it’s happened I added much more branches and I had also switch her cage to bioactive and I haven’t seen her screen walking on the top screen at all and much more active cruising throughout her cage, her branch is about 8 inches or so under uvb light and a branch under the heat lamp about same distance, but if it is a burn will it heal on own or does she need some type of ointment? It is on both sides which makes me unsure

It could be a burn but could she be starting a shed? If it’s a burn get plain neosporain (the one that doe not have pain relief) until she can be seen by the vet. 🤞it’s not a burn.

Hi. I’m not sure if that’s a burn or not. Best thing to do is keep a close eye on it for changes. If it is a burn, her scales may darken and start to shrivel and can form an open wound as the dead scales slough off. If you start seeing any changes that this or similar is happening, make a vet appointment asap. She would need silver sulfadiazine cream (by prescription only) to help it heal and prevent infection and depending on how bad it is, may need antibiotic and possibly veterinary treatment. To prevent recurrence/burns, you need to raise the basking light off of the screen by a few inches. I keep it simple and use wire baskets from the dollar store to elevate my lights. Not pretty but it works. Little ones that can walk upside down along the top, will do so. Heck, I would too…it must be kinda fun. You want it so that if you hold your hand beneath the light (where she could get to), it won’t feel uncomfortably hot after a few minutes.

Ok cool I’ll raise the light annd heat and keep a close eye on it thank you Soo much! I should note too that I’ve notice when she changes color either sleep colors or when’s she’s about to eat or just fired up the possible burn mark completely disappears and he color looks normal it’s only noticeable when she’s dark and basking, idk if burns do that but just noting in case it does or doesn’t
