Pre-signs of MBD?

I'm new to the caring of chams but so far so good! I've got a 4 1/2 mth old male veiled who seems to be quite healthy but am curious to know if you guys see any pre-signs of MBD? I plan to take him to the vet bi-annually but for the time being it never hurts to ask! Thanks, Al

No, he looks perfect! :)

With a good UVB bulb (replaced regularly), regular plain calcium, an occasional vitamin supplement, and a good gutloaded diet is enough to make sure you never get something as bad as MBD.

People typically give their reptiles MBD when they don't have one of more of the above things. So no UVB bulb whatsoever, or only use a supplement with way too much D3 daily, etc. But if you have these things you're off to a good start.

Just in case, here is the chameleon care sheet for the forum: https://www.chameleonforums.com/care/chameleons/

On the left-hand side you can click on the different sections, including health and diet. And of course, if you have any questions at any point during his life just ask us. But so far he looks perfect, so it's just a matter of maintaining his good health.

Pre-signs? I guess that would be reading a description of your gutloading, lighting, and dusting schedules...and realizing it wasn't correct. Remember though, more isn't always better in terms of dusting. It is safer to gutload your feeders very well and consider dusting a sort of nutritional gap-filler. Replacing your UV lighting is important.
