Preparing for my first chameleon, tips appreciated

So V is upset with me.

I have crickets on the way, but I ran out for now, so he was given roaches for breakfast. I gave him about 15-20 small dusted dubia roaches and went to work.
Just went home on lunch to check on the crew, and all the roaches were still there, and his lips were pressed against a umbrella plant leaf, with many bites out of it, and he locked eyes with me. He had the look on his face as though he was trying to prove a point - "I'd rather eat my plants."

I re-dusted the roaches (they got washed from the mist) and went back to work. We'll see if he gets desperate. Sorry, buddy, they're coming.

LMAO I love this !!. There so smart !!. Frances is the same she will not touch roaches . She will come flying down on her bug day well any day she loves eating , if she see roaches it's like breaks turns around go's to her Queen spot with her butt toward you . She won't look at me . She does not like them she is so bossy !!. Frances has been in our care going on 15 months she will not eat them .

So I'm holding V and decided to take a picture, and he was following the camera very intently, and then this happened

I felt so badly he was "tricked", so I hand fed him for the first time. He took it very quickly, was a cricket

One month with V!
He's still going strong. He's up another 4g while we wait on more crickets (he was desperate enough to eat 15 roaches) and he moves under his mist when it goes off, so I'm sure he's keeping himself hydrated (urates remain white)

He does not sit still for weigh ins.

He also now has a new roommate!
I started this morning off cleaning enclosures, and decided it was time to move Juste, the rescue beardie, into the same room with V.

She's been going potty more than I realized. I found it when cleaning out her enclosure. She's also down from 550g to 491g after passing her impaction and likely passing excess fluids that were trapped behind it.

V has seen the other beardies and hasn't cared, but he's been peeking at her this morning. I'm sure he'll get used to her presence

Still janky and like a turtle, but I finally switched her over to a reptisun 10.0 this morning. It's a T8, but she has no screen anyway. It's turning fall, so I can't rely on outdoor sun anymore, unfortunately

Yes use to . It's been in the 60 here muc to cold for the beardies . This Am it was only 48 .
We had a frost advisory:confused:
She looks so happy in the new room. The background is also new for her. She looks more complete and less just set somewhere.

V keeps asking me about the crickets with his eyes. Mail hasn't come yet, sweetie

GROSS your weather starts really early . It can be pretty nice here through nov . Nights can be cold but days mostly in the 60s . In the winter we have very cold winds off the ocean . Gets bone chilling cold .

Poor V will they not come till Tuesday .

Happy Juste is doing well she looks like a happy little girl .

Crickets arrived today, actually:D

I promised him as soon as they got here he'd be the first to eat. I kept that promise.
I got banded crickets this time, and boy do they jump. I put about six in V's clean dish and held it up by his basking spot and he came running, so excited for crickets. He already ate about 10 now and I added 5 more to the dish.

I made my reptile rounds and everyone got fresh crickets. Praise be the crickets
