Question about a live plant

So I have a four month old blue bar ambilobe Panther and I recently purchased a rubber tree for his enclosure. This is a ficus elastica and he loves it. I was able to view and seen the plant listed on the safe plant list not only here but on flchams website. However, some have said the sap is toxic for panthers. Do you agree ? Disagree ? Would you worry ? Change the plant ? Help me out here. I don't want anything to happen to our new member of the family.

The issue with Ficus sap isn't toxicity, but eye irritation. If your cham just happens to rub his eye on a freshly broken leaf or twig and gets sap in it, that can cause irritation. The plant itself is not the problem. When you first get the plant, do any necessary pruning or removal of dead twigs or leaves and wash any oozing sap off it. That's really all you need to do other than watch for fresh breaks.
