I have Commah (4 month old Vield) set up in a tank with a combo UVA/UVB bulb, and a black night bulb (only used during winter months! i promise i know its not natural to have a light on during night time.)
I'm switching to a seperate UVA and UVB bulb fixtures because I got them free and want to try it out. I'm getting the UVB Retisun 5.0 bulb and a 100 Watt Basking bulb.
Is this going to be ok?! I've never used seperate UVA/UVB fixtures... Is their a difference between using the combo bulb and this way?
Do I need to put them close together? Or is it OK for them to be on different sides of the enclosure?! He only basks in one spot- I know to have the basking bulb above this spot... but is it ok to have the UVB bulb away from that spot?
Maybe i'm just being over obsessive?
Thanks all.
