R.I.P. Amy

Wow I'm so sorry!! That's horrible! That guy has major bad karma comin his way! Cannabis has its time and place but never around pets or kids and especially intentionally giving it to an animal that has no idea what is happening! You sound like a very caring chameleon owner and i'm excited to see your next one once all this calms down

thanks everyone. i'm really looking forward to getting another cham. chams are by far my favorite pet now..

Hoj, did you get the contact info i pm'd you? i kinda thought i'd hear this from you hehe

I did get it and sent an email to them but have not heard back.
Thank you.
Sorry again but glad to hear you are going to stay in the hobby.

I cannot imagine how or why someone would feed weed to an animal! I am so sorry this happened to you little Amy! I am glad you have decided to keep going with chameleons. You are a great keeper and will give a great home to your next little one. It just sucks that you had to learn the hard way who you can't leave your pets with when you go out of town!

I'm not feeding weed to any animal, but isn't a leaf, a leaf?
Edit: was the plant sprayed with fertilizer or bug spray?... That's when a leaf ain't a leaf!!!!!
I mean, Phi eats leaves frequently. I soak and then offer him a little parsley (latest kick), but can they become clogged?
Awaiting response with breath held.

It's not the leaf that did the damage, it has to do with the psychoactive chemicals in the cannabis. Anyone that's ever used it knows that you don't smoke the leaf, you smoke the flower/bud of the plant which is much different than just a leaf. They're bodies can't process it as ours do, especially with a large amount of of the bud that's laying in its stomach, not to mention the resign crystals (trichomes) are very sticky and probobly got stuck to its insides.
