You get "drips" and "mist". An okay amount of mist comes out and down into the plants so you get humidity (not as much as a misting system), and a lot of rain pumps out so it stimulates real rain better.
I Purchased the Aquazamp premium low profile rain dome yesterday. Very excited, only heard great things about it. I was going to go with MistKing but the shipping from Canada was more expensive and I wasnt sure how their version of the raindome worked.
I'm really happy with mine, I have two of them. Both of my panthers seem to enjoy them as well. I like how it "rains" and mists, and I like the profile of the dome itself. It looks neat and tidy on top of the enclosure.
I just discovered I have all the parts to make one of these!!
Didn't even realize it
I put it on top of Noogie's cage.
It works much better at stimulating drinking then the normal mist nozzle, which they tend to run away from!!
This is much more like what they would get in the wild, a nice rain shower
I got a RainDome system a few months ago and I'm extremely happy with it. The dome keeps the rain spatially restricted but the mist is enough to keep an entire cage humid for the day. I have two cages with Raindomes with a T-connector splitting the flow to two lo-flow nozzles and that's enough to keep both of my cages, plants, and chams hydrated.
