This may have been discussed before, but the rarest chameleon kept in captivity is most likely Kinyongia fischeri, based on numbers alone.

Are just fischers in general the rarest? Or is it a certain subspecies or something that is rarest? Just asking because a pet store up here in Wisconsin has about 5 fischers chameleons. Unless there is a chameleon that looks very similar to a fischers, but is not actually a fischers.
