I am also interested in this.. Beautiful setup in the OP, but how do us with the mesh enclosures utilize these beautiful air plants?!
You can tie them in with fishing line or galvanized wire.

Are you talking a mesh enclosure? Can you please post a pic? I have a mesh enclosure and this sounds awesome, but I'm afraid if I hooked something this, eventually the weight would become too heavy and would tear the mesh.
Thanks!

hmm good idea
Patrick, I love your enclosures, they're stunning. Could you please tell me the name of the plant in the back, on the right? (Eighth photo, first post) It has such lovely lacy green leaves. It reminds me of a japanese maple.
bump. I'd also like to see a pic of a mesh enclosure using air plants.. I really want to get some.
I just stuck them in there, so they don't look as elegant as Patrick's, lol. I used virgin cork bark pieces, and plastic coated garden wire. I drilled holes in the cork to put the wire to hold the plant, and to hold the cork to the screen. On a few of them, they needed to points to attach securely to the screen. I haven't trimmed the extra wire yet, will do it today or tomorrow. I'm not sure if I'm leaving them where they're at. It's on the outside, where it can't come into contact with him.
The last (blurry) picture is him climbing on one of them. He climbed up there this morning to get some of the crickets, hanging out by the light. That one I won't move, seeing as he approves of it's location.

I just learned in class today orchids will grow aerial roots to absorb moisture from the air.. I think I'm going to try to hang one inside my cham's enclosure
LOVE LOVE LOVE this! Thanks so much for all of the info. I do not have any Chameleons yet, but hope to set something similar up sometime soon!
Question: how well will my live plants do without a 6500k spectrum light? Doing ficus and pothos, possibly umbrella as well, finishing setup this week. Currently using Arcadia T8 D3+ 12% for UVB in a 36-inch tall Breeze.
Thanks,
O
