Refrigerating Hornworms?

As some of you might have already read on one of my previous threads, my little cousins have been staying in the house and will be here for at least another month. They have really been stressing my Chamaeleon out and he hasn’t eaten for at least four days. I just bought some hornworms for the first time to see if he will eat them. My Chamaeleon is only nine months old and still fairly small. The horn worms are okay in size right now for him to eat, but I understand that they grow very fast. I read somewhere that refrigerating them will make them grow slower, but at the pet store they just told me that if I do I will just kill them. Can I refrigerate them or not? Thank you!

One day in the fridge, one day out, and so on... they will die if in for longer than a day or two. At 9m a cham should be able to handle a pretty large hornworm though.

He just ate two pretty decent sized worms :) I’m just happy to see him eat! I was starting to get worried that he wasnt getting any calcium or vitamins and he’s still in the growing phase. Thank you so much for your help.
