Refusing to eat

iris is refusing to eat for about 5 days now. She ate maybe to worms the other day but thats all. I know she has been showing her colors. She just hasn't seemed interested in the lay bin. I have seen her walking all around it but none it it. Im just super worried and don't know what to do. She doesn't look like she is currently carrying eggs but yeah. She is also more aggressive than normal! Any help would be appreciated oh and she has been super active crawling around and climbing everywhere and she any time I try to feed her just wants to climb out

Sounds like she is receptive but I do see the egg bulges. How long ago did she start showing her colors?

and it is moist and holds a tunnel correct? It looks like mostly soil which is why I asked.

I agree she looks receptive but not gravid yet. but then again I do not have a female

I would suggest starting to weigh your lady at regular intervals. Get to know her base weight and gravid weights. While waiting months for my ladies to start laying (they looked ready to pop for weeks!), knowing their weights helped me get a better idea of how close they were.

She has only been showing colors for a week or so. And she is not letting me hold her at all right now. She is trying to bite me and being really mean when I do. She just wants to come on to the tongs when I try to feed her and the lay bin is 50/50 mix. Moist and holds a tunnel

Ok so I am just going to throw a few things out there.... I would not have the cage covered right now. This reduces air flow and can make humidity and temps rise. This is really only something that gets done when they are close to laying as in showing an interest in digging.

Additionally I would move that litter box away from her cage. Having a cat box that close is not the cleanest but also she has a predator (cat) getting very close to her cage every day.

How old is she now? about 8-10 months? They do go through attitude changes.... A once friendly Veiled when it hits maturity can become very cage aggressive and decide that it prefers not to have anything to do with you. They will bite but they will also show you warning signs with puffing and hissing.

Can you take a pic of the entire enclosure so I can see everything?
