i just picked up a pothos and ficus plant from walmart. what should i do before puting in the tank and what steps should i do to transfer them into the take properly.

I wash all new plants with dish soap and rinse. Also repot with organic soil. Watch out , that you aren't using soil that has any vermiculite in it and inspect any new source of soil for bugs or their eggs. You don't want to bring a potential ant infestation into your chameleon's environment.

baked soil

I was just getting into this as i owned a Chameleon years ago and now want to get another one. I was wondering if its possible to bake the soil first and then let it cool down so that way there your killing any bugs or eggs!!! Let me know if this is possible or not as i was just figuring that would be a good way to ensure that its pest free!! Thanks

yea, whenever i repot a plant its always 50/50 if they make it or not, covering with river rocks is a much easier solution.
