Rescued veiled female

So, my friend rescued a female veiled chameleon from an abusive home. This chameleon had so many scabs, her arm was ripped open, and her mouth was completely scabbed. The family she got her from had her in with a male twice her size. There was so much damage to her that we didn't know where to begin fixing her. There's no good vets for reptiles close by us and we don't want to make things worse by traveling with her. It's been about a month since she's had her and she's already healing but her toes are now falling off, her scales aren't growing back, and she's always constantly shedding. Please help.

Poor girl. She needs a vet ASAP. She most likely has an infection and needs treatment. I take my chameleons to the vet all the time and they enjoy it because they are use to it. If you think it will scare her then put a towel in the bottom of a box with a branch on top of the towel for her to hold on to. Close the box so it will be dark and she will sleep all the way.

Where do you live? I might be able to recommend a good chameleon vet. She needs a good one and often you have to travel for those. My vet is over an hour away.

Thanks Jann I was hoping you would see this and add your expert advice.

I have a male veiled, 3 yrs old, came from an abusive home where he was picked on by the previous owners, tapping on the glass, poking at him, mishandling him, terrorized by children, I don't know how to get him tame. He whips his tail around and bites at us, hard, will I ever be able to take him, or will he just be one to look at?
