Residue on glass

Hi. I've had a problem with residue on the inside of the terrarium since I got it. I've tried using soap and water, magic clean erasers, water and vinegar, glass cleaner and Zilla - Maintenance Terrarium Cleaner and nothing gets rid of it completely. I've also tried letting it dry on it's own and drying it myself. I add Zoo-Med Reptisafe water conditioner to her misting water. Not sure if that is causing the marks. Anyone ever dealt with this or know anything that could help? The tank was hosed down 2 weeks ago and that didn't help. I just cleaned it out an hour ago using the magic clean erasers and the marks are already back.

Thanks.

Try cutting a lemon in half and using that.

This! It is brilliant! I have been doing this for years since someone first gave me the tip! You may have to rub quite hard and leave it to soak in a while before rubbign with the lemon again, but it is really good and safe for the chameleon too!

thanks for lemon advice ill have to give it a shot.

Only other solution I know is some good elbow grease and scrub pad for dishes not a metal one just normal rough sponge and scrub.

I tried that before nd it only works to a point, but it roughs up the surface of the glass and makes the limescale stick even more! I used to use just hot water and a scourer but since I discovered the lemon trick I haven't looked back!

The best tool is a razor blade. Just hold it flat to the glass, at a slight angle, and scrape. It comes right off. You don't need any cleaners. Be careful:cool:
