Respiratory infection

Hello everyone, I have a female veild chameleon and I think she might have a respiratory infection but not sure she sometimes lifts her head up and sometimes seems to open her mouth to get more air especially after eating crickets. What you guys think? I have been trying to research but it’s a little confusing

Hello! Can you share a video or pictures of her doing this? If its while she is eating the feeders may be too big but a RI is quite serious so if that is the problem you will want to get her to a vet asap.

Hey there please fill out the form above... There are multiple reasons a cham would do this. Size of insect being too large or temps being far too hot. RI is another one as well.

• Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon?( Once every two weeks.)
• Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders?( she eats crickets hornworms, and I feed her every day. Cricket she probably eat around 4 to 6 hornworms depending on the size 1-2 and I got load the crickets with apples
• Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule?
• Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?
