RIP Jackie Brown...

I came home 10 mins ago to find my Female Jacksons, Jackie Brown, passed away. I hate this part.. I bought her in early may from a guy who was getting out of the hobby who had her since '06. She was a WC adult when he got her...and she produced 2 clutches for him in captivity. She always ate and drank well for me... The last few days was a rapid decline. She had always been pretty stationary till she saw food...one day she stopped showing interest...When I tried to pick her up she was a lot slower and felt a lot weaker. I had the feeling she was a very old girl. Well today she left us...She still had little leaf stuck in her hand. sigh...maybe I am a wimp but this gets me down every time.

i am so sorry for your loss. i recently lost my 15 yr old ball python, so i know how it feels. loss doesnt make you a wimp. esp if you loved and took care of it

Thank you all for your kind words. She was a beautiful Jackson... And she gave us lots of joy in her time with us. Whenever I see that pic I will see the little smirk that she always seemed to have in her face. Seeing her struggle through the last days, makes me happy to know she is comfortable at rest.

Thanks again guys... Not everyone understands that this is not just the death of a lizard. Weird as it sounds...they do become family.
