Roach Recipe Book!

I would like to know what people feed there Roaches? I want to know how much of each item. My roach recipe is:

1 cup non med. chicken feed
2 cups honey nut O's
2 cups oat meal
2 small oranges a week

I am just trying to think of different combos to feed my roaches.
So I changed my recipe to cut out some of the protein.

I would cut out the cat/chicken/fish food. Use ground nuts and bee pollen if you need protein for them.

I feed lots of green lettuces, carrots, fruits occationally, squash, sweet potatoes, stuff like that. Anything I feed my guinea pigs pretty much plus a little cerial. Then before I feed them off I feed high calcium greens.

There is preformed vitamin A in the cat, dog and fish food...you may be overdoing it.

Heres what I do, and all my feeders eat it up really fast. I cut up some carrots, apples, dried egg yolk, and some grapes. I put it in a blender, add water and blend it all together to make something like a protien shake. This also make sure they have water Hope this helps.

i agree with kinyonga, the cat, dog, or fish food, is not neccessary and could provide too much animal based protien and/or preformed vitamin A. i have posted most of the ingredients to my feeder gutload in this recent similar thread https://www.chameleonforums.com/dubias-failing-confused-36585/

Too much animal protein, too much fat, too much vitamin A.

I feed mine what I feed crickets - fruits, veggies, seeds, nuts, etc
