Romeo the Sambava 1 yr old!!!

Well, from what I can estimate here Romeo has made it to the 1 yr old mark! As most of you cannot imagine who are freezing in many places around the globe, we are still warm and sunny here in Florida. Today was in the 60's but still a nice day to catch some sun! I snapped this pic through his cage.

and actually im waitng on for getting a sambava....you know chachilla's clutch.....6-12 months of incuvation and 2-3 months of growing....a long wait that is worth it!!!....and soon i will own my SAMBAVA

I know!!!..but well worth it....and actually between that time im getting a nosey be and hopefully a melleri baby !! hahaha

Carol, Romeo looks awesome! Just curious, how much does he weigh now?

um...good question! He is a tough one to weigh. I tried a few days ago as a matter of fact and I tried taping a stick on top of the scale and everytime I got him on the stick it toppled over! I didn't want to freak him out so I just gave up. The last time I weighed him(the stick thing worked before) and if I did it right he was like 185-190 grams. That was awhile ago though. I have to figure out a better way to weigh him. Do you have one????

I tried a large tupperware container and I taped it on but if fell over too. I guess I need a bigger scale. Mine is awfully small!!

I glued a stick to the top of a cup that is about 6" in diameter. I tare this out and then add him and take a picture of the scale showing the weight. This gives me a record that I then record later. It's kind of tricky but it seems to work. My scale is small too, only 4"x4" I think. BTW Leo is about 180 grams so 185-190 for Romeo sounds about right.
