wpke up this morning at 8:30 to turn my chams lights on and she was dead in the bottom of the cage... had her for a month. Got her from pets mart, I cried so hard, she’s now buried and in a better place. She was fine yesterday!

I'm so sorry for your loss. If you ever decide to try chameleon keeping again, please let this be a lesson to avoid Petco/Petsmart reptiles at all costs and work through a reputable breeder instead. They don't care about their animals enough to educate people on how to properly keep them :(

Do you have any recommendations on where to get them from a trusted breeder?

Sorry for your loss.
I would keep an eye on the market page of this site for the species you want. Having the chameleon shipped to you from the breeder is easier on it than the trip it takes thru the wholesaler and then languishing in the pet store before you get it. They pretty much sleep thru the overnight shipping.
