Salt deposit in nose

I didn't take a picture because I knew what it was, but today was the first time that I noticed a salt deposit sticking out of Walker's nose. He let me use a moist q-tip to remove it. I have well water, so could that be part of the cause? Can I use a water filter to help the problem?

Yes, I use a regular brita water filter and it cleared up my chams excess salt excretions in a few days.

Are you sure its salt?

I've read somewhere that over-supplementing with calcium causes this.

I've read many many posts on here that's its not caused by over supplementing. Them doing that is a natural way of expelling excess minerals from their body. But who knows. When you buy an animal from somewhere, you're changing their diet and their supplementing to fit what you feel you should.
