Scared of fogger and possibly not drinking

I agree with Wambo, I would save up for a mist king system or a climist. Both are good systems. I would mist for longer periods of time and at least twice a day since you can't do three times.

Would something like this work? (See pictures) and also, if I were to buy a misting system would it also raise the humidity in the cage? Could I just return the fogger for the mister? And because I'm to lazy to create a new thread and you all are so helpful. When I dust my crickets I have a hard time getting them in the cage without spilling the calcium in with them. How do I get the crickets in the cage without letting out all of the calcium in as well. Rango (my cham) just found a dying cricket in a pile of calcium that I had to pour in with them. He stuck the cricket but got a bunch of calcium in his mouth. How do I get the crickets out without letting calcium in?

I have that but I am saving up for a mistking cause the monsoon is cheap. Ot has worked so for though but I dont like it

You lightly dust the crickets, not coat them for baking. So there should not be much left over when you dump them into a cage or feeding cup.

I use tap water in his little dropper and for misting. Does he need to have his water purified? if so what with? Could this be why he's not drinking?

Can I use purification drops?
Like reptisafe? I would think so but chameleons drink distilled water in the wild so I try to keep there life in captivity simmilar to their wild life. The drops are chemicals too so I am not sure how they would react to them

I am not sure. Maybe someone who has more knowledge on using tap water can tell you. I have used distilled for everything all of Stark's life

Ok. Thank you all for helping me! I really appreciate it! This is my first chameleon and I want him to live a long and happy life and this forum has really been helpful. Much better than asking someone who works at a pet shop. They don't have a clue! Thank you again and I'm sure you'll be seeing more questions from me in the near future.

No problem! I wish I could answer your question but I dont want to give false information. Feel free anytime to ask a question though!

How long are you misting him for? Like I said the fogger needs to be replaced by a mister and the dripper is likely not stimulating him to drink at all. You need to mist him for at least two minutes to get him drinking in front of you

Ok thanks for the info

I also use dripper and mister system in the same time but my Cham is more prefer on mister system instead of dripper. Later on, I took dripper out. You can try to create 2 climate on you cage. One side is dry with automate mister system and the other side is use frogged so he can choose which side he want to go to. I look up from the guy in YouTube. He gave me this idea. Thanks him. Anyway, just have to be patient too. Mine has ate much since I got him. Figure cross.
