shedding

hi i am a new mom to a blue bar panther, hes about 6 and half months old i have had him a month. he seems happy enough but this week he has shed and went right off his locusts he ate a few meal worms but it really seemed to upset him. now hes got some skin hanging from his tail before he shed the very end of his tail looked dry so should i try and pull it off or how long should i leave it for a while? he is eating and drinking well now. thanks x

I read on here somewhere to soak it in oil (not sure if it was veggie or coconut oil or what) pulling it off could harm him

Just take some mineral oil, or baby oil, on a qtip and rub it gently. It should come off. I not do it again and again until it comes off. Don't rub hard or you could hurt your cham. Some cham seem to stop eating when they are shedding, others don't seem to notice the difference.

thanks for your info hes all done now and eating well again bless him. any idea if its normal for a blue bar to have a fair bit of red in it along with the blue? thanks bec
