Shout-Out to Todd @ Light Your Reptiles

I had an issue with an Arcadia bulb that I'd purchased from Light Your Reptiles and I needed emergency replacement. I contacted Todd on Thursday morning and he said it was no problem and he'd ship a replacement asap. I thought for sure with it being near the weekend and then the holiday on Tuesday, I'd probably have to wait until late next week to receive it. However, I was happily surprised when it arrived this morning, Saturday!

Todd has always been friendly and helpful in answering my questions quickly in the past, but his fast service in this situation is appreciated even more so. I really thank him for it.

I have the HO T5 double bulb fixtures (UVB/daylight) for both my chameleon and my bearded dragon and they've been really great for both of them.

(*well - they ALL SHOULD be carrying it -- AND be USING IT MOST DEFINITELY over their store animals as well--
it just takes time getting them up to speed on the product!)

I agree with LML. Todd has been more than great. I had my replacement with in a week but I did have a back up plan so he could get all the asap's out the door first. I got mine on Friday and had it going that day. I do have four fixtures from Todd.

Just keep me in mind when those 3 footers come back in stock. Within a month my next cage should be done and will order that so you have my order in and can ship when back in stock.

Todd, I have spread the word in my area and have handed out your business cards to anyone I run into at the pet stores. It's not to many but have gone through the cards you sent me. So the ones you gave along with my new shipment was great. I really hope some of them have at least asked you questions.

What's the best fixture and light for an ambilobe in a 24x24x48? I'm using an 8" heat fixture on top of the cage so want to make sure I have plenty of space. I'm making a new stand an canopy to frame my reptibreeze and want it to be a really nice show piece. Using the reptisun bulb now but it'll be ready for replacement in December.

I would never buy anything else than the Acardia's. I have learned that I don't need to supplement with D3 much at all. The bulbs do the job for me. After many blood tests on my reptiles it always reads in range to high. My vet had told me to back off on that.

Todd even replied to my inquiry on Christmas day when I was told about him. That was 2 years ago.

Just off the cuff~

I would suggest either a 24 double bulb HO T5 - w/ one 6% Arcadia and one 6.5k daylight bulb--if you have no live plants or just a few live plants ...

or a 24' quad ( 4 bulb ) w/ one Arcadia 12%, one Arcadia Plant pro bulb and two 6.5k daylight bulbs --if you have lots of plants w/ some shade.

I purchased a double bulb ho t5 and 6% arcadia from Todd and I can say the customer service was amazing. My order was a little late, but when received it came with a note from Todd explaining why this was and an apology. He even hooked me up with alittle compensation. I highly recommend his business, and will be purchasing all my future lighting needs from him. The plants are absolutely loving the lights, and my future cham will too I'm sure.

I just ordered the HO T5 6% after emailing with Todd and doing some post searches on lighting. And yes, he is very nice! I used to pimp my ride, now I just pimp my Cham lol.

All I can say is wow. Got My fixture today and plugged it in. Blows the socks off my other light hands down. It was shipped in a box that I swear came from Fort Knox. Can't wait to get this bad boy up and running...note to self, stop lagging on finishing the stand! Lighting is important to set stage for my display so I know I'm going to be stoked. And I love that the cord is heavy duty.

Nice! And I was looking at your pics of your boy the other day....amazing little guy.

You'll be pleased, the fixtures are quality and fire right up with no flicker. I sparked mine up yesterday and the lighting is amazing. I was next to my crested geckos so I tried it on their enclosure and it looked like a whole new cage inside. I don't think the cresties enjoyed the test since they had just woke up lol.

I got my package in 7 days even though Todd shipped the next day, weather is bad up northeast. Hope weather calms down and you get yours quick. His packaging is hands down the very best I've ever seen.

I like supporting small businesses and glad to see feedback on forums to help with making those decisions. After all, we work hard for our money so we naturally want to spend it with confidence. : )

Correct lighting IS CRITICAL to keeping Chams alive and healthy ---
