HIS EYES JUST TODAY STARTED TO SINK FROM DEHYDRATION DESPITE GIVING HIM SHOWERS AND GIVING HIM WATER THROUGH A SYRINGE. HE IS ALSO LOSING HIS COLOR. HELP!! I'M GOING TO THE VET IN THE AM AS LONG AS HE MAKES IT.

Can you explain your supplement schedule with a little more detail please what kind of calcium powder?. Have you only been giving calcium twice a month. Dusting with calcium without d3 at almost every feeding is recommended and with d3 a couple times a month. When was the last time your UVB light was changed? How long has he had runny stool? When did he stop showing interest in eating and drinking? Can you post pictures please?

Runny stool started 3 days ago. The calcium powder is no D3. They get D3 twice a month. I usually alternate dustings to every 5 or so feedings. His UVB was changed about 2 weeks ago. It's lights out now but I will post pics in the am. He stopped eating and drinking just within the past few days.

have some pics of him?

you are dusting with calcium twice a month?

just my opinion runny stools, sunken eyes, not eating or drinking. you are probably are looking at a heavy parasite load or organ failure. Only advice im giving is to get him to a vet asap. give him showers as much as you can.

THEN PLEASE REPORT BACK. WE NEED TO CORRECT YOUR CARE.

I agree with ataraxia, I hope he makes it to the vet tomorrow. Please keep us posted. Some changes do need to be made to your husbandry like longer mistings, dripper, temperatures etc.. I wish your guy all the best

Judging from the pics of your female u posted up a while before I would have to say your feeders have a heavy parasite load! You should get him to a vet ASAP and either buy some reptaid, or other anti-parasitics and treat all your animals. I would say you should disinfect any cages, plants, bins... Also try getting feeders from a reputable source and disinfect there old bin.

Was this one of the chameleons you put up for sale? Either one of the ambanjas you were selling or the nosy be?

No it was another male I have that wasn't for sale. The Ambanjas and Nosy Be are very healthy. I buy my crickets from a local reptile oriented pet store but I'll switch it up to see if thats the case. I have been giving him reptaid for 3 days now.

Okay. That still doesn't make sense. Alternate with what ?

He needs to be given calcium without D3 EVERY feeding... Just to clarify.

Also, if the ambient temps are 85, that means the basking temps are too high. The power sun may be too strong for your application.

you should be dusting with Calcium w/o d3 everyday and then the other two should be alternated every saturday! Or whatever day of the week you choose to use. This is my schedule and it seems to work just fine!!

is he steady? hows he holding up thru the nite? or are you just allowing him to be until morning?. will you let us know what the vet says?

I just checked on him. He's laying on his branch with just his back feet holding on. His color seems to be back a little but he is still very weak. I'm hoping the reptaid starts to work by morning. He's been on it for 3 days now and it seems to be making him worse. I even tried giving him water via syringe but he wouldn't swallow it. Fingers crossed until morning.

does he have enough foliage to soften his landing if he happens to fall off? I know with Krunch I put towels on the bottom of my cage so when he fell it wouldnt hurt so much

The pothos I have that hangs in his cage is right underneath him. He's still got a good grip on the branch and looked like he was ready to gape at me last check up on him. I don't wanna bother him too much but I also don't want him dying on me.

Well everyone I got my guy to the Vet this morning and he died once we were there. It turns out he had some sort of blockage in his digestive system which caused organ failure hence why he deteriorated so fast. The vet is keeping him for a necropsy just so we know for sure the cause of what happened but it sucks. I just wanna know if he developed any parasites and as a preventative measure I'm cleaning every cage I have super thorough and dumping my feeders.

Im sorry he died.
Did you have substrate in with him? did he have access to the dirt your plants were in?
