Sick or pregnant??

My cham has been acting and looking strange! She is a veiled chameleon and has blue & green spots. Apperantly this is not normal. Different websites and people tell me different things. Just wondering what your thoughts are.:)

She could be carrying eggs. If she has not been mated, then they are infertile. Acting strange in what way? How old is she? Do you have a laying bin in her cage??? Post some pics.

Here she is

She is around 7 months and has no mate... Except when I bought her. Should I put a laying bin in her cage?! She acts weird by hiding and running away when anyone sees her. Thanks!

She does look a little chunky around the middle, I would definitely get a laying bin together. Here is how to make one, in case you have questions: https://www.chameleonforums.com/laying-bin-set-up-educational-video-77225/

She looks fine otherwise. Mature veiled females have a background of green with blue and yellow spots all over, so that's totally normal. If she does need to lay and is being shy make sure to give her lots of privacy. Drape a sheet over the cage if you have to, but she probably will not lay if she can see anyone watching.

I have a question. Do pregnant chameleons wobble and barely move when ready to lay? If so then my cham is definetly pregnant!!

She definitely looks like she is carrying eggs (gravid). You should follow Olimpia's advice and make a laying bin ASAP and give her complete privacy as suggested. If she needs to lay eggs and can't, she could become eggbound which is a serious and potentially life-threatening problem.

Also, do you have a picture of the entire cage? I don't see any foliage in there and there should be a lot.

Also where should I put the lights when I cover the cage with a sheet? Do I not have them on at all or what:eek:? Thanks !
