I knew when I got him that Senegals don't live quite as long as other chameleons, like Veilds and Panthers, only 2-4 years ish. Karma is atleast 1 year and 5 months.. he's extremely healthy now but I know once it starts nearing 2-3 years I'm going to be worried sick every day that I could wake up and he might not be there. I wouldn't have my favorite little buddy who sits on my shoulder and listens to me and watches me play vid games. Senegals are awesome man, so docile, I could swear he's my best friend. I'd love a red or blue barred ambilobe but.. Karma is still the best.

i have a uromastyx named spike that is suuuuuuper old. he just sleeps most of the day and doesnt eat much. i got him when i was like 7 and have had him for 10yrs already. i dont know how old he is but we got him as an adult so ive been in the same boat you are for afew years now. supprising how long animals live in captivity with propper care.

Yes i am right there with the 2 of you. Arnold, my blue bar ambilobe, will be 8 years old in Feb. Today he finished a 2 week course of brutal treatment for mouth rot. I am just hoping he is strong enough to survive it. The day I find that boy dead a big piece of me will go with him. First thing I do is check Arnold every morning. He has also started to fall, and is showing his age.

8 years old laurie? wow. how old was he when you got him? thats such a long time, and ill feel for you when the time comes :( hope he breaks the record for longest living cham :)

I bought him at 2 months. At one point he was with my sister while I traveled a lot for work, but other than that he has been with me. I love him to bits.

My iguana is now 18. I just built her a huge new cage...hope she sticks around long enough to really enjoy it because she's certainly getting up there in years, though you can't tell by the way she acts!
