size matters?

Ok, so I keep reading and there are a lot of posts mentioning the size of the chameleon. So my question is about what size should a cham be at 4-5 months? I know there is no set number but what about a range? Plus when you measure your cham are you measuring the body, or the tail too? Every time someone mentions a monstercham who is 9 plus inches at four months I feel worried and wonder if I should be offering my little guy more crickets.
Thanks guys ;b now I'm gonna turn into a little old lady insisting he eats!

Lol! Oh for the love of Pete! Talk about forgetting the important stuff. I have a panther male red bar amilobe. Sigh sorry I get so focused on him I forget not everyone knows everything about him to.

my male is 8 months old and 6 1/2 inches from snout to vent (vent beeing base of tail)

female is 10 months old and 5 1/2 inches from snout to vent

but ive never normally checked them like that..just used my eye to kinda tell how old a cham is..

they where most likley talking about total length....snout to end of tail...that would double the sizes i gave to you

At 4 months old, an ambilobe panthers total body lenght should be anywhere from the range of 6-10 inches long. Anything less is considered small, and anything more is considered large.

I have 11 males that are almost 3 month there are a couple that are 4-5 in most are 7-8in in total length and showing color.oh the larger ones are available:D

Ok that makes more sense. Oh while I love the amilobes, the only other cham I'll be getting is a nosy be. So when you get some of those....;)
