I would not give it gatorade if I were you. They sell stuff you can put in their water to restore electrolytes for reptiles gatorade is a no no.
My tail isn't that bad looking, but still bad. I can try to help you as much as I can from what my vet is telling me. Keep him/her hydrated as much as possible. Mist 2-4 times/day for about 5 minute intervals. They only drink moving water, so drops off of leaves etc...
If I were you, I would get your tail amputated, I am just playing the waiting game to see what mine does as she is still using it. That way it prevents yours from spreading. Call the vets in your area to see if any look after exotics, and bring him/her there. Get it done and nurse it very carefully it will turn out great.
What kind of lights are you using for heat? make sure the temps aren't that hot, 85F is good enough for a basking spot for these guys otherwise they can burn. I use 2 75Watts for my cage and it is great. My Cage is 2'x18"x18" and the ambient temp is good too around 69-75.
Make sure they are comfortable and if yours is falling all over the place like mine is, I moved her to a smaller cage, and filled the bottom with fake vines so if she falls there is no hard impact.
Keep up the good work, but I would suggest getting to a herp vet.
