D3 should be dusted lightly atleast twice per month. Superworms are good once in a while. Not the best as a staple feeder in their diet. Make sure you only give him small or medium sized worms if you do feed him supers.

Sounds good! How about horn worms? And how many times should I feed him superworms or hornworms in a week?

Superworms I usually feed when I run out of other feeders like crickets or roaches. I mainly keep them as a treat item. They are high in fat and protein but lack other nutrients that feeders like crickets, roaches, silkworms and others have. If on the rare occasion I feed supers as a meal, I give my cham about 8 large worms gutloaded and dusted with the days supplement.

Hormworms are a great treat as well and are also used to help hydrate dehydrated chameleons. Again, I wouldnt use hornworms as a staple feeder since I have read about a few people who have run into issues with there chameleons refusing to eat anything but hornworms. Apparently they are addicting lol. Since they do have a high water content to them your cham may have loose or runny stool.

Hornworms do not need to be dusted though. But keeping them isnt as easy as keeping crickets. They eat, poop and grow non stop. I got a container of about 10, 1 inch long worms and after a little more than a week they were too big to feed to my chameleon.
