I got Ernie some nice juicy hornworms and the snot wont eat them. They arent too big for him, he ate Silkies this size. Ive tryed hand feeding.. giving them a little squeeze so they wiggle around more and just setting them on a branch..... nuthin!!!! He eats everything else I put in front of him:confused: Im going to have to put an add in the paper and find him a job! If he is going to be so picky he can buy his own food:rolleyes:

Just keep trying :) is the first time you've introduced them? Sometimes Chams can be hesitant to eat a new feeder :)

Yep....First time..... he better start eating them soon, before they get to big. But he has no problem with full size crix & Supers.. in fact he prefers the larger 1's;)

My Jackson was hesitant for about the first week, then he finally took the plunge:p Now he cant get enough of them! I just tried once a day til he took it. You can put them in the fridge one day in, one day out to keep them small. They can grow FAST if you dont:)

Well...... They all grew to huge size and ran out of food in the cup thing they came in and I couldnt get him to eat a single 1....Not going to waste money on them again:eek:

sometimes they cant tell their the same worm

I should have tried that..... He can tell the differance between Crix with Calcium Plus and the 1's without... He will eat the crix with the dust first and only eat the others if he is real hungry. The main reason I didnt do what you said,, was that would be alot of dust to make them Silkie color:confused:

Don't mean to hijack the thread but didn't want to start another. What's the rule of thumb for the acceptable size of a hornworm to feed?

Thanks :)

I am disappointed. I thought someone actually name their chameleon Snot :D I dont feed over 2 1/2 inches for a full grown male panther. I've had an adult male panther almost choke on one larger than that but it could have been that the worm bit him on the tounge. When they get large I now crush the worms jaws before feeding just in case.
