So any guesses how soon ...

Well, congrats :) Looks like it was worth the wait, they are ridiculous! So sweet :) And congrats to crocky too, better than my guess anyway........

I have to go take pix for the Fire Company later today , but when I get home , I'll see if there are anymore I missed and try to get some better pix to post .

Sadly , one didn't survive the night . I was kind of skeptical if it would , though . The others were feisty getting them out of the cage , but this one wasn't . This one was kind of lethargic . Keep your fingers crossed for the rest .

Ok , you're not gonna believe this , mainly cause I still don't . So I took the dead baby out and set it on a plastic lid . I was gonna get rid of it when I got home . I come up to my room ... it was crawling around the lid !!! Little sucker never moved when I picked it up ... was all limp . Thank God I didn't get rid of it right away . So the count is back up to 8 .

Well congrats!!! I knew I would be close;)

Sometimes it takes a while for the neonates to get up and moving because they are still absorbing their egg sack.

Before I went to bed they were all crawling around enjoying their little jungle gym ... lol . When I woke up , it was laying there . Never twitched or anything when I picked it up . I'm wondering if it didn't fall and knock itself out . Imagine my surprise when I got home and it was crawling around the lid .

Wow, just read this and good to hear the other little one is ok. Hope they all do well for you!

Joe honey I think you are just going to keep going through the wringer with these Jackson's.

Lol ... so do I , Laurie ... so do I . I'm just soooo glad I procrastinated in getting rid of the ' dead one ' . And now for your enjoyment ... a few more pix :

Awww! Congrats! She looks rightfully pleased with herself in that pic!:D May I suggest that you put a live plant in there for the babies to drink from. You've probably done that already though as I am a little late on finding this thread! The more I think about it, the more tempted I am to get Monty his Marjorie. Maybe one day!

Actually , Miss Lily , you're not late at all . When I get paid this week , I'm getting them a plant and moving them to the small cage . People , you keep that advice right on coming ... this rookie needs all the advice he can get ... lol .

January pay day always takes forever to arrive as we get paid early in December because of Christmas! Do you have a spareplastic plant /greenery for now just to help with humidity? I also found that a 'travel' pump mister that produced a very fine mist allowed me to mist for a lot longer without drenching the whole cage too much. I just remember how worrying Monty's breeder found it so I did all the research I could alongside her so I could be better prepared for Monty's arrival. (Monty's breeder is also my best friend). I raised Monty from 7 weeks of age and remember all too well how stressful it was to get everything just right for him! I breathed the biggest sigh of relief when my boy reached 5 months and was still alive!:D I really would like to breed Jacksons one day myself.

Actually , Miss Lily , I just went all McGyver on it ... lol . I took a small jar , clipped parts from Lucky's plant and placed it in there . Not alot of plant but enough to get droplets on til I get them their own plant .

wow congrats on the babies. I have a pair of mt. meru jacksons. Your babies are so cute. make sure you keep us updated. Good luck with them. I am glad there are still 8 little ones. I am sure you were more then happy when you found him crawling about. :D Keep the pics coming. :D
