Hi, I'm new here, and I just got my first chameleon last night. I picked up a veiled chameleon, male, and he's pretty young. (Not sure just how young but I'd guess only a few months old at most).
Thing is, he seems extraordinarily chill. Last night he fell asleep on my shoulder whilst putting together his enclosure, and when I picked him up, he went to sleep shortly after before I put him in his new home. He woke up this morning when I turned on the lights and I went ahead and took him out, to see if he would eat from my hand. Turns out, he is quite fine with this! He ate one from between my fingers before I had my friend film the second one. After this I went ahead and dusted up some meal worms, and put some phoenix worms in a cup and let him be in his home.
Here's the video. Is this as atypical behavior as I think it is? Or are veiled's just generally this chill V:
