Starter Colonies

So, today I ordered some starter colonies. I ordered OH, GEN, red runners, hissers, and Kenyans. I will also breed silks, crickets, and supers. This spring I want mantis ooths and stick insects too. I will also do bean beetles, rice flour beetles and wingless hydei when my eggs hatch. Now I'm officially a bug nerd too!

What are GEN...? I feel like my brain is dead lmao. Do you have all your individual roach bins set up correctly? Remember that mantids take a ton of care. And with the amount of different species you have mentioned I would do individual heat tape or heat sources.

I got auto corrected. It was supposed to be GBR's. Nick gave me the low down for each roach.

Yeah, I have a ton of flex watt. Ill probably just use that. I was gonna heat the little room, but the way I sweat, it would suck to work in there.

The Mantids will mostly just be for my hatchlings this spring. I doubt I'll try to grow them out. Maybe a few for fun.
