Today I realized my Cham has been trying to escape his cage and has been shaking I'm worried about him not being happy I want to give him a awesome life without stress any advice

Ok my Cham is 4 to 5 months old And he is a male. Sometimes I handle him but not frequent. I feed my Cham crickets, rarely wax worms, and I dust them to with repti calcium. I always water him trying to keep humidity 70+. I have a big cage for him with lots of space to move around! The problem is he has been stressed out lately and I want to keep him in a good mood

Can you tell us what species you chameleon is? (Panther, Veiled, Jackson, Rudis (Trioceros sternfeldi)Senagal, ect) Under the Resources tab at the top of this page is a link for Caresheets this is a good place to start learning. Oh Welcome to the forums!

With the shaking, he maybe mimicking a leaf or he may be shaking in an attempt to scare you off. Please fill out the information as requested in the above post, so that we can help you faster/ easier. This will give us much of the info that will help us. Additionally, please post some pics of your cham and his enclosure. As one of the keepers posted, "Make sure there are good places to hide and that he can easily find his food, can drink often and can bask in peace. Don't pester too often and make sure he isn't in an active part of your house with views of other pets. Chams are very visual and easily stressed by too much commotion."

Ok now Kiwi (my Cham) has calmed down a bit he's doing better, because for the last day and a half he did it non stop. I'm happy to see he's feels better emotionally :)

A video of the behavior you're concerned about would be helpful. It's hard to tell if you're describing a problem or not. Chams do some weird things that are totally normal, and they do some other weird things that indicate a problem with the habitat or the animal.
