Sugar has recovered...

The animal specialist at Petsmart called me today to let me know that Sugar has finished her antibiotics and is ready to be re-purchased. I told her I purchased a chameleon from a breeder instead and that she can go ahead and put her back on the floor for sale... back into the cage where she got sick in the first place

It is so hard not to go back and purchase her. I love Hobbes to death, but Sugar has the most incredible personality.

I keep thinking to myself, what if they offered me a discount since I'm afraid for her health? And what if I'm missing out on the sweetest chameleon ever?

My heart aches for this little one, but it would not be the smartest thing to go back and purchase her.

At least she is healthier now. But for how long?

I wouldn't buy her if i were you, the thing about petsmart's chameleons is you never know if they have been inbred or not which can lead to serious problems for the rest of her life. Never buy animals from petsmart, you never know what you are getting.

100% agree. I probably shouldn't have purchased her and gotten attached in the first place!
