Ive noticed the herptivite does not have vitamin a, whats a good way to substitute? Or make sure they're getting enough vit a?For years now I've used Rep-cal phosphorous-free calcium powder and Rep-cal phosphorous-free calcium/D3 powder and Herptivite. I dust all the insects im feeding to the chameleon with the phosphorous-free calcium powder at almost every feeding. I dust them all twice a month with the phosphorous-free calcium/D3 powder and twice a month with the Herptivite.
I feed/gutload the crickets, superworms, roaches, locusts with a wide assortment of greens and veggies and a bit of fruit...dandelion greens, kale, collards, endive, escarole, squash, zucchini, sweet potato, sweet red pepper, carrots, apple, pear, berries, melon, etc.
Make sure your basking temperatures are right since it plays a part in digestion and thus indirectly in nutrient absorption.
It has beta carotene. I think that is Proformed vitamin A.Ive noticed the herptivite does not have vitamin a, whats a good way to substitute? Or make sure they're getting enough vit a?
