Hi and welcome. So on deciding what species imo see what the climate is in your state ,what climate you are already providing. And what climate you can provide given some species need more of a nighttime drop in temperature than others

Was gonna say burn as well. Is the wound open at all? There’s this cream that keepers use on burns on their Cham, does anyone have the name for the ointment and where she can buy it?

Also it looks like your Cham is a Jackson’s, which, as a montane species, it requires lower temps. Could you fill out the how to ask for help form so we can access your husbandry

Silver sulfadiazine cream would be the best way to go, if it is a burn, along with good hydration!

Even though I said don't rule out a fungal infection. Let me clarify that. It looks more like a thermal burn. Really it don't look like a fungal issue.

It does look like a thermal burn. Sivadene cream or Silver sulfadiazine can be used to treat them it can prevent fungal and bacterial infection in the burned area. infection.
