Temp/Humidity Control

I've been having a lot of issues with temp and humidity control since winter has came along. My question is: would you recommend a hygrotherm, reptile temp controller or temp gun? And why? Side note: I have a bearded dragon also. Is there something I could use for both of them? Also what brands are good?
Thank you! :)

well of course i'd rather not spend a ton but i am tired of messing around with these digital thermometers. i had 3 different ones (with new batteries) and none of them matched. so i am willing to spend what i need to and make things right.

I bought an Accurite thermometer/humidity gauge for my beardie at Walmart. Thought about using it for my cham too. Anyone have any advice or info??

I went to Harbor Freight and bought a Cen-tech digital infrared handheld thermometer for $35. Works great. My kids love to use it to check the temp of everything in the house LOL.

If you have a mesh cage wrap 3 sides with plastic I did and it help my veileds humidity a lot I also use a repti fogger and now the humidity never drops below 55% live plants also help

Thats what i did to mine and the humidity went from lower 30-20 to upper 45-60 also as winter come your humidity levels willl rise as mine have since the heaters are on

Just out of curiosity, what kind of plastic did you use and how did you put it on? I taped saran wrap for now and I also use a vaporizer pointing in his cage 3 times a day for about an hour as well as misting, that's the only way I can get enough humidity in there. But my concern now is mold buildup, how often do you think I need to change the saran wrap or air it out? Do you think a shower curtain cut up would be better? And do you have any suggestions on how to put it up besides tape? This is my first chameleon and I've only had him for a week, so I'm very new at this and appreciate all the help I can get....:)
