***The Official Enclosure Picture Thread***

Wow. Just incredible. One question; How do you keep the bugs from escaping?
I just love the idea of the open, hanging plants.

The very first chameleon exhibit I saw, and the one that made me fall in love with them, was at a place called World of Wings, in NJ. They had an open top veiled chameleon enclosure. Just amazing. Here's their site: http://www.wowbutterfly.com/

cage or viv ?

I plan to get a male ambilobe panther chameleon in the new year but i cant decide what enclosure would be best for me and my chameleon. I stay in scotland so its generally pretty cold. The other problem i have is dampness in my room and need to use a dehumidifier. For this reason i believe a viv would be better than a screen cage. Can anyone give me some advice on this ? Thanks, Bobby.

I love seeing all of the creative set ups on here! This is Ozzies house all done up... I have a matching top for the unit but was playing with the lights so removed it. And, of course, I HAD to add a pic of my boy :)

I see a lot of cages here that appear to only have a plant on the bottom and no drainage underneath the cageor a plant in plastic small tub on the bottom. How are all of you handling drainage with this sort of setup?

Just upgraded our male panther to a big boy cage. The hanging pothos plant will fill in as it grows. We also have a ficus that has room to grow.
We used bamboo sticks for the horizontal pieces and kept the bottom free of everything except a stand for the ficus. The pothos was hung using a piece if stud wood on top of the cage and fishing line through the screen and wrapped around the piece of wood. We wanted to keep the bottom as clear as possible in order to be able to clean it easier.
The whole set up is in an LLL Reptile 24x24x48 cage with the additional tray in the bottom.
Our drainage system is a hole drilled in the bottom of the tray and the table with PVC pipe leading to a bucket under the table.
We have the Mistking system which is perfect, as well as a dripper, a Reptisun 5.0 and a regular house bulb for the basking area.
We also use the Zilla temp and humidity gauge, which works really well. We're loving this new setup.
