Like a pedestal or like a water tray? Not sure what you mean by basesare there any "bases" out there for a 24x24x48 cage? looking for some ideas

If you have a place near you called, ReStore, you might find an old kitchen or bathroom cabinet. Use that as your base, and it'll have storage underneath, plus drainage.are there any "bases" out there for a 24x24x48 cage? looking for some ideas

Thank you for the suggestion! There is a layer of soil under the bark, and then there will be a layer of river rocks across the top to prevent ingestion. Microfauna are already present. I know it seems a bit backwards, but I read about others doing it with success, so I hope it works for me. Unfortunately it was several months ago and I can't remember where I read it.Karlia,
Get rid of that bark substrate, although Hoehnelii are small i can already see a bit of that getting ingested. Try going with a home made soil layer and add some microfauna.
