No, I'm Irish/Welsh, and Wiccan no less. But I have had the opportunity to learn about spirit guides, and other first nations practices through my dad, and one of my old teachers. We did a drumming ceremony where I met my spirit guide. It was the most amazing experience ever. I never shirk knowledge if I can help it.
