well, here he is in all his glory - all 5 oz's of him- yes, he gained a whole oz !! :) the pics are really bad - lol but you can still tell how CUTE he is - but...he has remained at the vets for now - he has exposed bone on the end of his nubby leg - a surgery to remove the bad leg is planed for when he is 3 mos ( he is 12 days now ) but need to be sure the bone is not going to get infected - I think they are going to pull skin over the bone for now? soooo if he comes to foster it will be a week or so- but he is so darn cute ! but no worries, to keep me busy I am building a cart for another dog who is losing her leg function - will let ya know how that goes- lol :D

Awwwww so cute!!

He is lucky to have someone like u willing to spend the endless hours feeding him and looking after him, not to mention pay for the vet bills for the leg!!

If only there were more of you in the world!!

Keep us updated won't you? ;)

Cheryl that baby is so tiny and cute. I would so love a puppy like that. My two would think it was a toy. Wow it will be so much fun working with that little thing. I understand that you have to place one to be able to foster another, but it would be sooooo hard to let the puppy you get go to someone else. More power to you lady.

He is sooo tiny and cute!!!!! I bet he'll make SOMEONE a great companion!!!!! ;)
Bless you for caring!!!!!!

OMG!!....I'm in love!....that is the cutest thing I have ever seen, he would be very hard for me to give up...I admire you for what you do but I don't envy you when it comes time to let him go.....I sure hope that his tiny little leg will be OK. and the surgery will go well.

cuteness overload going on here! OMG!! what kind of puppy is that?

he is a Maltese - but the cord wrapped around his leg in the uterus so most of his lower leg is missing and kinda a little nubby , but it is better to remove the whole leg so as the bone will not be an issue later in life - so he will need his leg removed when he is a bit older- but 3 legged dogs do great - the person who gave him up did not want to put any $ into him - the sad fact of breeders ( not ALL breeders, but I personally think IF you are going to breed- you should be responsible for caring for ALL the puppies, not just the "perfect" ones ) but I will love him :D and when he is ready, he will find a good home with someone who can see past his little uniqueness ;)

it is VERY hard to give them up- every one of them - but, if I kept them all, I would not be able to take in more and help the next ones- and I know they go to good homes- so it is very rewarding to see a sick or injured little guy get better, and get a new home :D he is still w/ the vet - his bone is so close to the surface of the skin, he needs to stay w/ her longer- I go and visit for now, and am working on a cart for another dog to keep me busy ( as if 60 hrs a week at the tax office were not enough - lol :p )
