Thinking of purchasing a juvenile Jackson's

Hello
Is my first post on the forum but I've had my male Jacksons about eight months. He is doing great :)
I have aset up for a second chameleon and I want to get a female.Yesterday saw some captive bred juveniles for sale. They are only about 4 inches long so I'm assuming they're pretty young.
My question is cb Jacksons are kind of hard to come by. she is selling them for $100 and there's no guarantee. I would much rather have a captive bred then a wild caught if I have a choice but is it worth the risk of this little girl dying in a couple months? looking for advice from people who have raised Jackson juveniles with luck or not? Or any ideas where I can get a captive bred female who is a little older?
Thank you in advance for your help:)

I would not buy a chameleon with no guarantee. There are alot of people who breed Jackson's so you don't have to get a WC one. Check out our sponsors on here and also the classifieds. I have not raised them, but we have many members who have and will hopefully chime in. If someone cannot give you some type of health guarantee, I think that says alot. Also, I know there are people posting Jackson for sale on Chameleon Central USA on Facebook. Edit: In looking around it does not seem like there are too many Jackson for sale out there at the moment!

I've got Jacksons and Panthers and one Veiled. The Jacksons are my favorites. I bought three recently: Reptiles by Mack, KA Reptiles and Backwater. All three arrived in excellent condition and health. Backwater has several options and I ordered a gravid female. The only problem is that I do not know when she will deliver, but she's quite plump. Both boys from Reptiles bny Mack and KA Reptiles are what they call juveniles, but I call them big babies. Be sure to post any other suppliers which you find. They seem to run about $100 to $150 including shipping (about $50). That's cheap when compared to Panthers. ...Stan in Dodge City

Jacksons have this whole die without any reason at around 4-5 months if it were me I definitely wouldn't get one that wasn't at least 6 months old to get past the danger period especially if their not willing to give some guarantee. Just my 2 cents.

I won't sell my babies until they are 5/6 mos for just the reason stated above - I had my first losses ever, and that was at 3.5 mos, and 4 mos- I have no idea why they did this, but this was also my first " winter babies " , normally I try to get breeding late summer, early fall for spring babies, and they go outside as soon as weather allows if they aren't already born outside, and they stay out until fall. I HIGHLY recommend NOT getting wc,( and you almost never see juvi wc because they just seem to die :( ) if you are going to get wc, get an adult, your boy will catch up to her :)

Thank you very much for all your help :) I am not going to take a chance on that juvenile Jackson's.With her age and no guarantee it doesn't seem like a good idea and It would break my heart if she just dropped dead.
We are having a reptile expo on the 7th, I saw it is only cb allowed. Hopefully they will have a female that is over 6 months. If not I will just keeping checking back on here :)
