about a month ago i hatched out thousands of crickets and they did well they were in 2 10gallon aquariums filled with egg crates covered with pinheads. then they all died from what appeared to be mold.their corpses were all in the eggcrates there were maybe 50-100 left.
i had plastic wrap over the top of the aquarium then when they started hatching i poked holes for ventilation so the peat would start drying out.
then i cut a slit in the plastic so the peat would for sure dry up and it started drying but somehow it re-absorbed moisture and mold started and took all my pinheads.
the thing is i did not see much mold,i seen some but not alot,the mold i seen was acting like a sticky trap for the pinheads. anybody ever experience this extermination of pinheads before?
