tongue redness

I've used kale and collards and other goitrogenic veggies...all in moderation just as I use other greens, veggies and fruits in moderation for years mostly in food/gutload for the insects and non of the autopsies have ever mentioned any thyroid problems I the chameleons. I have however rarely used spinach (no real reason).

Thanks for your experiences with it. I appreciate everyones point of view and if you ever come across any info id be glad if youd share

Kale produces compounds whose metabolites compete with iodine for uptake in the thyroid...but you have to eat a lot of it to be a problem. IMHO the good things (vitamin C and K, carotenoids, calcium, iron, etc.) in kale outweigh this since most of the vitamin powders we use have some iodine in them....just my opinion.
