I plan on going to the rep show at the end of the month. I was a little concerned to hear there there may be fewer cham folks there. I am looking for pygmys - either 4 bearded or 4 r. temporalis (1 male, 3 females) - will there be any at the show?
Id prefer not to ship if possible.
Feel free to PM me. I am out of the country right now but will get back to you ASAP.
See you at the show in two weeks!

Find out who the vendors are, and you can call them in advance.

But from what i know about reptile shows, is they really dont have the more uncommon species there.

I second Camimom, check who the vendors are, you might get lucky.

Please give your alpacas a loving squish from me, and pass on my deepest thnks for their services to the yarn industry...

@trillion :). They are best animals ever. And their fleece isn't too bad either!

Thanks all for the suggestions. Will do.

jealousy

Do your dogs get jealous of alpaca? Or do you have (crap their name escapees me right now) herding dogs. You know the black and white ones who catch frisbees and stuff at the contests?

I have 5 rescue dogs - 2 Great Danes, 2 bratty chihuahuas and a pit bull. The chis get the most jealous when we are in with the pacas and have figured out how to get into our chihuahua- proofed paca space. Fortunately the pacas are so used to the dogs (sleeping side by side from other side of the fence, lots of nose to nose sniffing and greetings, etc) that they don't do the River Dance on them but do get into pretty funny play bouts with them. The dogs aren't as interested in playing, they just want US and to eat the alpacas pelleted food. Otherwise we keep them separated by a fence.
