Tragic love story or coincidence?

I sure hope she come back around for you would hate to see this turn out to be like the movie "Were the Red Fern Grows":(

I think she is started to come back around, however she is showing gravid coloration once again. I am going to take that as a good sign. After she dropped the eggs, she went back to normal female oustie coloration for the first time since mating. Then she turned black within hours, and this is the first time I have ever seen her turn black. Today, for the first time, she has gone back to gravid color. When I go near her to tube feed her oral electrolyte solution (she stopped eating as well), she turns black. She is starting to do and look better, so I am hopeful. I like to think positive thoughts :)

Kristen you are a great caring cham person and your animals know that. She may just need a little time or you could get another one and carry on your passion and love for Oustalets.

my CoeChi passed also, may he RIP

sorry for ur loss, i just lost my oldest this afternoon, while i was trying to resistate him he took his last breath and died in my arms, my CoeChi Chief of the tribe, i will greatly miss being his keeper, he was such a good cham and so faithful, why justg last week he climed down from his outside cage and walked across the patio to his Ficus tree and climbed up to ssit where i could spot him when i came out!!! He was such a hamm i am so going miss keeping him, i miss his grin already and having him sleep on me when he got tired, he was my first LuvBug, he will be buried to the beat of my drumming in my sacred burn circle sometime during the upcoming full moon, in hopes that he will hear the heart beat of my drum speak my everlasting luv for him.

I am so sorry for your loss. You sound very heartbroken. It does sound like he had a nice life and was very respected. My Oustie died in my arms too, and there is nothing like watching the life leave their eyes, it is almost peaceful though. Mine is still awaiting burial as well.

yes, when he turned from high yellow to a dark brown/black and closed his eyes with his little mouth opened i knew he had taken his last breath, i had just givin him a nice warm bath submerged that made him relax and hopefully took his pain away, i am very heartbroken and cant quit crying yet, he is still more than just a memory to me, being my first i'm sure he will always have a special place in my heart, bless his lil soul, such a blessing he was to come into my life i will cherish him till the ends of time.
