Trioceros cristatus update.

It's been a little over two weeks since the import from Cameroon came in. I just wanted to do an update on the cristatus pair I got.

They both have been doing extremely well. The first two days were a little rocky with what seemed to be excessive lethargy. That's understandable though after the journey they endured. My male was in worse shape than the female. She began eating right away and drinking more water than I thought her little body could handle. The male joined in on day three. He has put on 2 grams since I got him. The female has maintained the same weight. They both have been eating dubia nymph, blue bottle flies, baby indian stick insects and red runners.

They amaze me because they have this look about them that just lets you know they are not in a hurry to do anything. Then when they catch glimpse of a feeder, it is a completely different animal. I hope these two continue to acclimate well.

I was only able to get a picture of the male. They are both in very heavily planted enclosures and the female takes advantage of every plant. So you can only catch glimpses of her every now and then. The male tends to like sitting in the open more than the female. So he is way easier to get pics of. I will try to get pics of the female tomorrow.
